DAYS: Mini Meeting 2

The second Mini stakeholders’ Meeting for the Erasmus+ Sport project “Dancing Your Sport” was held on 24 September 2025 within the European Week of Sport in an intimate setting designed to foster open dialogue and collaborative planning with the most significant stakeholders – representatives from Limbazi Region Sport School, Olympic Centre Limbazi, sport clubs “Limabzu varpa” and “Limbazu klubs”, dance school and Youth Center gathered to discuss the innovative view of sport and dance aimed at promoting physical activity, health and wellbeing as well as creative expression across the project’s target group – young people of age 14 – 24.

The session began with a warm welcome from the project coordinator, who gave a brief overview of the project’s vision: promote sports and physical activity through dancing. The aim was to foster project’s aims: 1) encourage the participation in sports and reduce dropout from sport and physical activity through dancing;
2) promote sport and physical activity through dancing as a tool for health and wellbeing;
3) promote socialization, creativity and fun in and through dancing as a basis for inclusion and friendly environment.

Following the introduction, a concise progress update was presented, highlighting project’s successes such as two Scientific Papers published on the basis of the project’s Research Report, DAYS Dance planned Movie presentation in local schools and initial community interest.

Stakeholders were then invited to share their thoughts, offer feedback, and discuss how their organizations might support the project in the follow-up stage. The dialogue was active and constructive, with suggestions ranging from integrating cultural dance elements to break dance and hip hop, and involving professional dancers as ambassadors.

Together with the stakeholders discussion of next steps was developed. It included potential funding opportunities and work together, upcoming community events, where to present project results in the follow-up stage, and a collaborative call to action for continued partnership.
