Digital Uplift: Day 1

During the Erasmus+ project “Digital Uplift” youth exchange, participants from Latvia, Georgia, Armenia, the Netherlands, Greece and Romania were involved in intercultural experiences, promoting openness and greater understanding of different cultures. This is to encourage them to take various initiatives. To achieve this, the following non-formal education methods were used – interactive workshops, outdoor learning, educational methods such as stimulating activities, brainstorming sessions, role plays, team building activities and discussions.

The main goal of the first project day was to get to know each other better, which is why the day included various word games and “Who am I” ice-breaking workshops, where a little insight into the hobbies and interests of the participants was gained. A creative activity to visualize their anxieties, expectations and how they could contribute to this project, as well as an outdoor “Treasure Hunt” team building activity.

To learn more about each youth exchange member country, the participants prepared a cultural evening where they have to present their country’s history, culture, games, food, etc. The first cultural evening was hosted by Latvia, and according to the hosts, Latvia set a higyh bar for other teams.
