On 28 March, 2024, BK-95 implemented Workshop I of the Erasmus+ Sports project “Equal Opportunities in Sports Management”, which was held with the Sports Department female students of the Faculty of Education and Psychology of the University of Latvia. The target group of the project – 15 young university sports students (and 2 young male sports students) and 3 sport management representatives – role models in the field of sports management. The representatives of the sports management were Diāna Zaļupe (headmaster of Limbaži Region Sport School), Baiba Martinsone (Chairperson of the Board of the Olympic Center “Limbaži”) and Inese Dubulte (Project Manager of the Board of Directors of Sports Educational Institutions of Latvia).

The aim of the Workshop I was to introduce young female athletes to the history of women’s sports, which was told by B.Martinsone, to outline the most important data about women in sports at the European and Latvian level, which was shared by I.Dubulte, as well as to show practical examples of successful women in sports management, which were shown by D.Zaļupe. Additionaly, Sandija Zaļupe, the project EqualiSM manager, told about the project, its goals and main activities.
