Repeat in EU: Workshop

Within the European Week of Sport on 25 September 2025 BK-95 held a workshop on pedal cars in the Erasmus+ Sport project Repeat in EU.

The Pedal Cars Workshop proved to be an exciting and interactive event, offering participants a truly hands-on experience. For many in Latvia, where the Pedal Cars movement is still relatively new compared to other partner countries involved in the project, the Workshop served as an eye-opening introduction to this creative and dynamic activity.

One of the highlights of the Workshop was the presentation of pedal car designs showcased by partner organizations. Participants were particularly inspired by the photos and examples from the very first Pedal Cars events held abroad, which illustrated both the ingenuity and community spirit behind the initiative.

While the overall feedback was overwhelmingly positive, a few participants expressed a desire to see a real pedal car model presented live during the Workshop. They felt that a physical demonstration would have further enhanced their understanding and appreciation of the vehicles’ construction and potential.

Nevertheless, the Workshop succeeded in sparking enthusiasm and curiosity, especially when the session on digital approach of pedal cars races was started. Many participants left feeling inspired and motivated, expressing strong interest in taking part in pedal car races. It is clear that similar events should be organized in Latvia in the future, which makes a good ground for the follow-up phase of the project and the next collaboration initiative.
